6% increase in liquor prices

The Finance Ministry announced a 6% increase in Excise Duty on liquor, effective from tomorrow, as per a Gazette notification.

 

According to the Gazette Extraordinary, the price of a 750 ml bottle of special liquor will rise by at least Rs. 106.

 

In line with this adjustment, the prices of other types of liquor will also increase by 5%.

 

The Department of Public Finance under the Ministry of Finance has officially communicated the revised Excise Duty to the Excise Commissioner.
