21 injured as bus crashes into house in Arachchikattuwa

At least 21 individuals were injured when a passenger bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) collided with a shop and a house in the Baththuluoya area of Arachchikattuwa yesterday morning.

 

The bus, which was traveling from Nikaweratiya to Colombo, veered off the road and crashed into a tree before colliding with the shop and the house.

 

An infant who was asleep inside the house at the time of the incident was also among the injured.

 

The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Chilaw and Mundalama hospitals.
