Chicken prices reduced by Rs. 40

According to the Narahenpita Economic Centre, the retail price of a kilo of chicken has been reduced by Rs. 40, a senior official of the centre said.

 

He said the price of a live chicken has been reduced by Rs. 20.

 

After the price reduction, the price of a kilo of fresh chicken at the Narahenpita Economic Centre is Rs. 1,200, Rs. 1,000 for curry chicken, and skinless chicken is being sold at a price of Rs. 980.

 

He said a kilo of beef was at Rs. 2,000 and a kilo of mutton at Rs. 3,200.
