Caroline Jurie lets go Mrs World title

Reigning Mrs World Caroline Jurie has relinquished her crown. Understandably she could have lost the crown due to her actions that have been widely criticized.  

 

Jurie said that she is standing for her values and she is ready to stand alone if is needed. She said that she stepped out of the panel of judges because she could not agree with what was going on.

 

“I only wanted a fair stage and an equal opportunity for all contestants,” she said.

 

She went on to say that rules and regulations are there for all and not to find loopholes to win at any cost. Her claim is that Pushpika de Silva, the current winner is not entitled to the crown due to her marital status.

 

Jurie was arrested over the incident yesterday and released on bail.
