Young woman drowns in Divul Wewa reservoir

A young woman has drowned in the Divul Lake reservoir in Hindogama area of Anuradhapura.

Police said that the deceased woman, who had come to Anuradhapura for pilgrimage, and a group of people while swimming in the Divul Lake reservoir yesterday evening (Nov. 27) drowned.

The deceased is a 21-year-old resident of Padukka Wataraka area.
