World Bank, ADB and AIIB announce a joint plan to assist Sri Lanka

The World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) have decided to assist in responding to the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
The three institutions announced their decision in a statement issued after the first joint coordination meeting on May 19.
The announcement added that this would include access to essential commodities such as medicine, cash assistance, gas and fertilizer through the redistribution of resources from existing projects.
