There will be showers and winds in several places today

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night while showers will occur in the Galle and Matara districts as well.

Showers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western and Uva provinces.

Strong winds of up to 60 kmph are expected in the western slopes of the Central Highlands, North Central and North Western Provinces and in the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
