The water cutting ritual is performed at the Esala Perahera

The water cutting ceremony of the Kandy Esala Perahera was held at Getambe Thota this morning.

The last Randoli Perahera took to the streets yesterday afternoon without public participation in accordance with the health care system. The Kandy Esala Perahera will conclude with a noon procession after the water cutting ceremony this morning.

Diyawadana Nilame and other Basnayake Nilames are to hand over the memorandum to President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa stating that the perahera was successfully completed.
