Separate maternity wards for covid infected pregnant mothers

Dr. Chitramali de Silva, Director Specialist, Office of Family Health Services, said that many hospitals have separate wards for maternity-infected pregnant women so that they do not have to worry unnecessarily when preparing for childbirth.

At present there are about 3800 pregnant mothers infected with covid and about 850 of them are still receiving treatment in hospitals.
