Security to remain heightened in places of worship, public places

The Police Spokesperson SSP Jaliya Senarathne stated that heightened security measures  will remain in place around places of worship and public places partculary in  Kataragama, Kandy and other sacred places as adviced by the intelligence.

 

Furthermore, all police stations across Sri Lanka have been notified to carry out special intelligence operations.

 

Given that any church or other place of worship requests for additional security, it will be provided.
