President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa appreciates joint efforts to control fire raging in oil tanker MT New Diamond

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has thanked the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Indian Defense Forces for their joint effort in controlling the fire raging in the crude oil tanker MT New Diamond.

 

The President appreciated their contribution in conserving oceanic biodiversity by preventing a chaotic situation out in the ocean, in a Twitter message.
