Kamzy Gunaratnam refuses to boycott Sri Lanka

Kamzy Gunaratnam calls on the new government to continue working with Sri Lanka. She said she did not believe a boycott was the way forward. 'There must be investment. Only then, she said, can jobs be guaranteed.

She will also hold talks with her party, the new foreign minister and the Norwegian ambassador to Sri Lanka, to explore how well Norway can help. However, she also called for a war crimes investigation in Sri Lanka, saying it could not be closed without answers.

The newly elected Norwegian parliamentarian said that the rights of the minorities in Sri Lanka should be protected. She said her main focus in the Norwegian Parliament was to bring about equality in Norway.
