Four members of the same family were injured when a car collided with a train

Four members of the same family have been seriously injured in a collision between a train and a jeep.

The jeep had collided with a train at the Periyamulla railway crossing in Negombo last evening.

The father, mother and two children were in the car at the time of the accident.

After the train collided, the car was dragged on the tracks before colliding with an electric pole.
