Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers during the evening in many parts of the island.

Heavy showers of up to 100 mm are expected in some parts of the Central, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces. Elsewhere, showers of up to 50 mm are expected in some places.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
