Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at many parts of the island.

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western and North-Central Provinces and in some places in the Mannar, Galle and Matara Districts.

Elsewhere, showers of up to 75 mm are expected in some places.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
