Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at many parts of the island during the evening.

Heavy showers of more than 75 mm are expected in the Northern, Eastern, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in some places in the Galle and Matara districts.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
