Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the island during the afternoon or night.

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western, Uva and North-Central Provinces and in some places in the Ampara District.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
