Electoral law restructures

Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has received proposals from 21 political parties to reform the electoral structure and election law.

According to Kushani Rohanadheera, Secretary, Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament, 155 proposals have been received from public and civil society organizations to reform the electoral structure and election law.

The deadline for submission of ideas and proposals is July 15 and the next meeting of the Committee will be held on July 28 in Parliament.
