Cuba becomes first country to vaccinate infants against covid

Cuba has started administering covid vaccines to infants over the age of two using locally produced Abdala and Soberna vaccines.
The vaccine was first given to children over 12 years of age, and has since been widely used in children.
The vaccine has not been approved by the World Health Organization, but the government hopes to open schools soon to vaccinate children over the age of two.
