Covid infections and deaths are on the rise in the UK

Another 43,738 patients and 223 covid deaths have been reported in the UK.

 

This is the highest daily number recorded since March, and the total number of deaths from a positive test in the 28 days since the outbreak was 138,852.

 

The spread of the infection beyond young people has increased the number of patients aged 50 and over and it has begun to increase the number of hospitalizations and deaths, the Guardian reports.
