CEB says that if the demand for electricity is low, there will be no power cuts today

The Ceylon Electricity Board says that if the national demand is kept to a minimum, electricity can be supplied without any interruption today.
About 75% of this reserve is provided by thermal power plants and 23% by hydro power plants. 2% of the remaining demand is met by electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar energy and biomass.
