Blacksmith and his assistant arrested for making cap guns for 37 years

Anuradhapura police have arrested a blacksmith known as 'Yaka Bass' and his accomplice alias 'Chandi' in the Bediwewa area in Galenbindunuwewa, Moragoda with three illegally manufactured weapons.

 

According to the police, the weapons in their possession belonged to the category of cap guns and when questioned, the suspect stated that he had been involved in this business since 1988.

 

He said he had forgotten the number of weapons they had until then and the suspects would be produced in court today.
