Banks explain to CBSL the increase in foreign exchange sales percentage

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) yesterday issued an explanation regarding the recent increase in the percentage of foreign exchange sales by banks to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

An increase in the foreign exchange sales rate by banks from 25% to 50% with effect from March 21 will not affect the existing foreign exchange earnings and export requirements of migrant workers.
