BASL urges the public to remain calm; Ensures legal action is taken against gangs that incite violence

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) urges the public to remain calm and not to use violence against any individual or to destroy any public or private property.

President of the Association Saliya Peiris, President's Counsel, assured that Sri Lanka BASL will take all possible steps to ensure that the perpetrators of inhumane attacks on peaceful protesters are prosecuted.

The association also thanked the BASL members who came to the Galle Face Green to intervene to prevent violence.
