A treasure hunters in Mannar has been arrested with the equipment

Four suspects involved in illegal treasure hunting in the Oluthuduwai area in Mannar have been arrested with equipment.

 

On a tip-off to the 54 Division Intelligence and Security Forces, the suspects were apprehended with a single generator, four buckets, two hose pipes, a foot valve, a water pump and various equipment including a shovel and mammoth.

 

The suspects were handed over to the Mannar Police for further investigations.
