A student of the Kelaniya University tests positive for COVID-19

A student of the Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Sociology, at the university of Kelaniya has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

The said student is a resident of Minuwangoda.

 

As per the sources, the student's father is attached to the apparel factor in Minuwangoda as an employee and has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

University of Kelaniya was temporarily closed owing to the pandemic situation on October 7 upon the emergence of the Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster.  

 

Furthermore, 2 other students who had asociated the Covid infected student have been directed to PCR tests.
