A Sinhala version of the Bhagavad Gita from Namal Rajapaksa to Prime Minister Modi

Namal Rajapaksa on Wednesday presented a Sinhala version of the Bhagavad Gita to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Indian media reported that Namal Rajapaksa had for many years been honored by India's invitation to a group of Sri Lankan Buddhist priests to join the international flight to Kushinagar.

 

It is with great pleasure and honor that I arrived in Kushinagar on my inaugural international flight on Vap Poya Day, and I am reminded of what the Prime Minister of India suggested to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka at the Virtual Bilateral Summit with Sri Lanka in September 2020.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kushinagar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, requiring 100 Buddhist priests to attend the inaugural flight of SriLankan Airlines to Kushinagar.
