75th National Independence Day is today

 

Sri Lanka, which was a British colony for 133 years, got its independence on February 4, 1948, and it has been 75 years today.

Due to that, the National Independence Day celebration will be held today at Galle Face Green under the theme "Namo Namo Mata - A Step to the Century" under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
