23 persons shot dead within just two months

 

According to the Sri Lanka Police, 23 people have lost their lives in shootings reported in the country since May 30 this year.

Police Media Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police Nihal Talduwa, said that members of organized crime gangs involved in drug trafficking were involved in these shootings.

He said that it has been revealed that most of the people who were shot were such people who were involved in those crimes.
