Suspect shot dead while in Police custody

Sri Lanka Police reports that a 30-year-old suspect was shot dead while in police custody.

Accordingly, yesterday (February 23) at around 06:00 in the morning, this incident took place when the police brought the suspect to a swamp in the area to find a stock of weapons in the area of Katunayake, Madawala.
