China bans BBC World News

The BBC World Service has been banned by the Chinese authorities on February 11, accusing the British broadcaster of not being “factual and fair,” according to a statement issued by the government. 

 

The National Radio and Television Administration stated that  “the requirement that news should be truthful and fair” and not “harm China’s national interests.”
