PM links official languages with cultural acceptance

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena highlighted that the Official Languages Policy of Sri Lanka is designed to promote acceptance and understanding of cultural diversity among the country's people. 

 

 

He emphasized that breaking down communication barriers is crucial in achieving rapid economic development and fostering equality among Sinhala and Tamil-speaking individuals. 

 

 

This, in turn, contributes to reducing poverty and enhancing social and economic equality for both men and women across Sri Lanka.
