SLPP MP Ketagoda resigned today in favor of Basil

Jayantha Ketagoda, a National list member of Parliament from Sri Lanka's Podujana Peramuna, has tendered his letter of resignation to the Secretary-General of Parliament.

Basil Rajapaksa, the SLPP's National Organiser, will take his place. Rajapaksa, who is a dual citizen, will have no difficulty entering parliament now that the 20th Amendment to the Constitution is in effect.
