Traffic Cop interdicted for assaulting lorry driver

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that a Police Constable attached to the Maharagama Police Station  has been interdicted over an assualt on a lorry driver. 

 

As per the sources, police had investigated into the said incident and the Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara has instructed to interdict the police constable in question. 

 

However, the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that before the  said incident, the lorry driver  had knocked the Traffic OIC attached to the Police Station in Maharagama  who had been admitted to Kalubowila Hospital in serious condition.
