The Parliament approves two names for the Public Service Commission and the Election Commission

The Parliament approved the appointment of Mr. Sundaram Arumainayagam as a Member of the Public Service Commission. The Parliamentary Assembly convened under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday (25), Parliamentary Secretary General Dhammika Dasanayake was quoted as saying by the media unit.

Following the death of Mr. Sivagnanasothy, Mr. Yapa Abeywardena has agreed to the proposal made by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to appoint Mr. Sundaram Arumainayagam as a member of the Public Service Commission.
