Thamilnadu politicians blame Indian abstinence

India has abstained at the vote against Sri Lanka at the ’the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Tamilnadu politicians are bitter of New Delhi’s diplomatic move to stay in the center.

 

Vaiko AND Stalin, prominent Tamilnadu politicians have remarked that Tamils will never forgive the New Delhi leadership and call the act of abstinence as a betrayal of the Tamil people.

 

on the resolution on promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka, terming it a  “unforgivable betrayal”   of Sri Lankan Tamils.
‘The nine crore Tamils living across the world will never forgive this betrayal of the Sri Lankan Tamils by the Indian government’.
Mr. Stalin and Mr. Vaiko say that if not for the upcoming state elections the Indian government could have even  voted in favour of Sri Lanka.

 

Mr. Vaiko accused the government of misleading Indian citizens by not voting on the resolution. In a statement, Mr. Vaiko said it was an of the Sri Lankan Tamils.
