Shashi Weerawansa appeals against prison sentence

Lawyers representing the wife of MP Wimal Weerawansa have filed an appeal challenging the previous two year imprisonment given to their client.

The appeal was filed before the Colombo Magistrate's Court.

After considering Weerawansa's appeal, Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala stated that it would be considered on May 30.
