New laws to be introduced to prevent hoarding food

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the government will introduce new laws in the future to prevent rice mill owners and large scale paddy store owners from storing it.

The Prime Minister instructed the officials to provide loans in line with the government's monetary policy.

He also instructed the Central Bank and Treasury officials to monitor lending policies.
