Independent MPs meet Indian envoy

Independent parliamentarians Dayasiri Jayasekara, Udaya Gammanpila, Nimal Siripala de Silva and Susil Premajayantha met Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle earlier this week.

The Indian High Commissioner in Colombo said on his official Twitter account that the Indian envoy had reiterated his country's continued commitment to support Sri Lanka.

The Indian Ambassador and the Independent MPs shared their perspectives on the current economic and political situation in the island.
