BIA has launched an extensive digitization project

Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has launched an extensive digitization project to facilitate the smooth movement of passengers so that tourists can access airport services without any hassle.

Under the new project, the BIA will see a reduction in manual handling and increased automation in its operations to make it more user-friendly for passengers.

The Digitization Project has established a digital channel for departing passengers at Terminal 1, which will be used as a pilot project to develop technological advances for Terminal 2, which will be able to collect passenger experience levels and usage statistics.

Meanwhile, Kovid-19 is also working on setting up an online healthcare publication system at the Airport and Aviation Services (AASL) Airport to address the current changes and dynamics of passenger travel.
