185 tourists arrive in SL from Ukraine

185 tourists from Ukraine arrived in Sri Lanka today (December 28).

 

This will be the first batch of tourists to arrive in Sri Lanka after reopenng the airports which were closed for commercial flights since March 2020 , owing to the coronavirus pandemic. 

 

A commercial flight carrying the tourists reached the Mattala International Airport at around 1.30 p.m. today.

 

Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga stated that tourists will be staying in a travel bubble operated in Benthota, Koggala and Beruwela.
