An allowance of Rs.2500 for preschool teachers

The approval for a monthly allowance of Rs.2500 for the preschool teachers has been granted by the Cabinet.

 

The Board of Ministers has approved the Cabinet Memoranda forwarded by the Minister of Education Prof.G.L.Peiris regarding this.

 

This amount is due to be paid under the program "Guru Abhimani" and around 2500 teachers are expected to benifit through it.

 

Furthermore, this allowance is scheduled to be paid from 1st of June 2021.
